GLB050 is out today, six years less a day after GLB001. It follows GLB035. There is no GLB036 to GLB049. I wanted the number on the sixth birthday, and it is my label.
"GLB Plays GLB" is a double 12 inch of artists covering each other. Margaux Delorme sings over "Köpenicker Dub". Anselm Reuter reduces "Rue des Cascades" to its bass line. Frieda Lux plays "La Corniche" as a winter record, and Noé Castaing puts guitar on "Karl-Heine". Les Quais add sax to "Isarlicht", and Elske Maes slows "Bassin à Flot" to the pace of a Belgian club in 1988.
The label is at ADE later this month. GLB051 is next.
