Kolja Brandt trained as a classical pianist in Munich and left the conservatoire a year before finishing. He records on a real upright piano, and his tracks are among the most melodic on the label, with a good record on festival stages.
"Isarlicht" (2023) was his first GLB release, followed by "Englischer Garten" (2024) and "Starnberg" (2025). His debut album "Föhn" (2026) is named after the warm Alpine wind and has a twelve-piece string section, recorded in a church in Giesing, on four tracks.
Blitz in Munich was his home room until it closed in August 2026. He has also played Tresor in Berlin, Phonox in London and Amsterdam Dance Event.
