A former dog biscuit factory in Rummelsburg, out past the point where most visitors stop looking. The arts association Sommerleuchten took over the site in 2008 and the first small parties followed in 2009. It then grew piece by piece into a part indoor, part outdoor compound, which is still how it feels: a collection of rooms, sheds and garden that you learn rather than read. Parties run every weekend from spring until New Year, after which the club usually shuts for winter until about March. Listings give a capacity of around 1,500, though no one should treat that as a count of who is there at any given hour. Time Out put it at the top of a 2026 ranking of Europe's nightclubs, a list the club did not need. For house DJs its value is simple. Nights here go on long enough that nobody has to hurry, and the crowd at the far end of a weekend has come for exactly that.
