A club on the roof of La Sucrière, an old sugar warehouse on the Saône in the Confluence district. It began in October 2011 as a temporary space during the Lyon Biennale of contemporary art and opened permanently on 26 June 2013. It is part of the Arty Farty group, the same people who run Nuits sonores, and that connection shapes it: this is a club with a cultural programme and a Club Culture label from the French Ministry of Culture. It holds 780. The system is a custom Meyer Sound rig, which is not the obvious choice and is worth hearing. The terrace looks over the water, and Sunday sessions from 18:00 give you an early finish and a view. Friday and Saturday nights run from 23:00 to 05:00. Erol Alkan played an October 2026 club night, to give you a sense of the booking. Few French cities outside Paris have a room this well run, and Lyon's reputation for electronic music owes it a lot.
