The building on Rue Blaes in the Marolles started in 1925 as a neighbourhood cinema, later became Cinema R.A.F., and then a Spanish community club, Le Disque Rouge. Thierry Coppens and Peter Decuypere took it over in 1994 and turned it into Fuse. It became Belgium's leading techno club and holds about 1,500 across Room 01 and Motion. The long-running gay party La Démence has made its home there as well. It appeared in DJ Mag's poll from 2008 to 2014, peaking at 21 in 2010. In 2023 a dispute with a neighbour over noise and rules from Bruxelles Environnement led it to stop the music for a time rather than comply. It appealed, won and reopened without restrictions, and the row turned Brussels nightlife into a heritage discussion. It later gave 30 years of visual material to the Brussels Archives. Steven Van Belle and Andy Walravens have been managing owners since 2020. The no-phone policy is strict. Ben Klock and Steve Rachmad are on the bill for 14 November 2026, the latter billed for a house set.
