It started as a bar run by the brothers Sito and Antonio Lara, on the Salinas road right beside Ibiza Airport, and sources disagree about the year, giving 1986 or 1989. The name comes from the McDonnell Douglas airliner, and the plane is still the logo. Aircraft do go over, low enough to join in. The partnership that made it came in 1999, when Circoloco began its Monday parties, and the 2026 season was billed as its 27th anniversary. The rooms are Main Room, Terrace and Garden, and capacity figures run from 1,500 to 4,000 depending on who is selling the tickets, so we have left it blank. It opens only in summer. In 2026 Circoloco ran from 27 April to a closing party on 12 October, with Solid Grooves on Thursdays until 1 October. DJ Mag placed it 19th in 2026. It is a rough-edged daytime room in a place where the competition is shiny, which is most of its appeal to people who love house records.
