Sacha Vidal comes from three generations of silk workers in La Croix-Rousse, Lyon, and began DJing at student parties in the city in 2008. They built a local following on French filter house and sampled soul, and keep a large collection of French soul 45s.
Their first GLB record, "Traboules", came out in 2020, finished by post between Lyon and London during lockdown. "Fourvière" (2021) and "Tête d'Or" (2023) followed. A daytime set at Nuits sonores in 2023 brought the first bookings from well outside France.
The album "Presqu'île" (2025) uses more samples than any other GLB release, and clearing them took eleven months. "Gerland Nuit" is due in 2027. Sacha plays Le Sucre in Lyon regularly, with other dates at Rex Club, Cabaret Aléatoire and fabric.
